Celebrating Women’s History Month: Female-Founded Brands & Creators in the Skeepers Community

March gives us a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate the women around us.

This month, the Skeepers community is spotlighting some of the incredible women who define our industry from the female founders building category-leading brands to the creators inspiring audiences every single day. Their stories deserve to be told. Let’s celebrate them.

Women at the Heart of the Creator Economy

Women have not simply participated in the modern creator economy, they have built it. From the earliest days of beauty blogging to today’s multi-platform content empires, female creators have been at the forefront of every major trend, format, and cultural conversation.

Look across the highest-performing content categories, beauty, fashion, wellness, lifestyle, parenting, home, food and you’ll find women leading the way. They don’t just drive engagement; they shape purchasingdecisions at scale.

The ripple effect reaches brands, too. More and more companies are not just partnering with female creators, they’re being built by women. Female entrepreneurs are launching brands rooted in real experiences, genuine needs, and community-first values. The result? Products that resonate, stories that stick, and businesses that grow with their audiences rather than at their expense.

And brands are taking notice. Smart partnerships with women-led communities are no longer a “nice to have” ; they’re a cornerstone of modern marketing strategy. Women are the decision-makers in household purchasing, the curators of taste, and the connectors of community.

That’s exactly why March matters. Women’s History Month isn’t just a commemoration, it’s a call to action. A reminder that the women building the creator economy deserve to be seen, celebrated, and supported all year long. Here at Skeepers, we believe that. And this month, we’re putting it into practice.

Female-Founded Brands We’re Proud to Work With

Skeepers proudly partners with remarkable women-led brands around the world companies whose founders didn’t just see a gap in the market, but had the vision, courage, and drive to fill it. In the US, we’re honored to work alongside some truly inspiring female-founded brands. Below, we spotlight two whose stories are as powerful as their products.

Female Founded Brands in Skeepers’ Community

Brand Spotlight #1: Dermalogica

Founded by: Jane Wurwand

Category: Professional Skincare

What started as a single skincare institute in Los Angeles in 1986 became one of the most respected professional skincare brands in the world. Dermalogica was founded by Jane Wurwand, a British-born aesthetician who immigrated to the US with a mission that went far beyond selling products; she wanted to transform the entire skincare profession.

Jane launched the International Dermal Institute alongside the brand, creating an education-first model that would train and certify skin therapists globally. Her belief? That informed, educated professionals deliver better results. That conviction became Dermalogica’s DNA.

Today, Dermalogica is used in over 100 countries, and Jane’s commitment to education and empowerment for skin health professionals the majority of whom are women has never wavered. The brand has grown into a genuine force for both skincare innovation and professional empowerment, all rooted in one woman’s vision that expertise and community should always come first.

Brand Spotlight #2: Gisou

Founded by: Negin Mirsalehi

Category: Hair Care & Beauty

Some brands are born in boardrooms. Gisou was born in a garden. Growing up in Amsterdam with a father who has been a beekeeper for six generations, Negin Mirsalehi spent her childhood watching honeybeestransform flowers into something golden and extraordinary. That heritage became the heartbeat of her brand.

Negin launched Gisou in 2015, first as an influencer sharing her family’s honey-infused hair oil, then as a fully-fledged beauty brand that has since taken the world by storm. The Honey Infused Hair Oil became a viral phenomenon, beloved for its ability to deeply nourish and repair hair with the natural power of Mirsalehi Bee Garden honey.

What makes Gisou extraordinary is the story. Negin built a brand that bridges generations, values sustainability, and honors family legacy while speaking directly to a modern, digitally native audience. As an influencer-turned-founder, she understood her community before she ever built a product for them. That authenticity shows in every campaign, every product launch, and every collaboration.

Today, Gisou is a global beauty brand available in major retailers worldwide, proof that knowing your audience, staying true to your story, and creating something genuinely beautiful is a formula that works.

Spotlight on Top Female Creators in the Skeepers Community

Behind every great piece of content is a creator who showed up, pressed record, hit publish, and built something real with their audience. In the Skeepers community, we are fortunate to work with some extraordinarily talented women. This month, we’re celebrating two US-based creators who exemplify everything we love about what women bring to this industry.

Creator Spotlight #1: @kaayeight

There’s something magnetic about Kate’s content. Her feed is a beautiful blend of feminine energy and aesthetic storytelling, an invitation to slow down, romanticize your daily routine, and feel genuinely confident in your own skin. Whether she’s walking you through a skincare routine or styling an effortless look, Kate has a way of making everything feel both aspirational and completely attainable.

Her editing and storytelling skills are exceptional. The quality of her visuals is matched only by the warmth of her natural presence. She is engaging and easy to connect with. Followers don’t just watch Kate’s content; they feel it. That emotional resonance is what makes her partnerships with brands so effective.

Fun Fact: Kate is bilingual in French!

Bri’s content is a masterclass in elevated, relatable beauty. Clean aesthetics, polished production, and a genuine, grounded energy; her feed feels like getting style and beauty advice from a friend who always seems to have it together, but never makes you feel like you don’t.

What sets Bri apart is her versatility. Her content translates seamlessly across platforms, connecting with audiences wherever they are. She inspires her community not just through tutorials and outfit posts, but through her message: that everyday life can be elevated with confidence and intention. That philosophy permeates everything she creates.

She’s also a creator with real staying power. She’s built her audience through consistency, craft, and authenticity, not algorithms. And her advice to other aspiring creators? We’ll let her say it herself.

Why Supporting Female Voices Matters More Than Ever

The case for amplifying women in the creator economy isn’t just cultural, it’s commercial. Women make the majority of household purchasing decisions. They are the primary drivers of word-of-mouth, community trust, and brand loyalty. When female creators speak, audiences don’t just listen, they act.

Female creators bring something that no media buy can replicate authentic human connection. Their audiences don’t just follow them, they trust them. They have built communities through vulnerability, expertise, and consistent presence. That trust translates directly into impact, and brands that understand this are the ones building the most meaningful campaigns.

But beyond the metrics, there’s something more fundamental at stake. Representation matters. When women see themselves reflected in the brands and creators they follow, it changes how they feel about those products, those communities, and themselves. Supporting female founders and creators isn’t just good business, it’s the right thing to do.

At Skeepers, our commitment to amplifying women’s voices doesn’t begin and end in March. Women’s History Month is a moment to celebrate loudly and publicly, but the work of supporting, featuring, and investing in female creators and female-founded brands is something we carry with us all year long. It’s woven into how we build our platform, how we run our campaigns, and how we define our community.

Women’s History Month is a celebration. Year-round support is the commitment. We’re here for both.

And we’d love for you to be part of it. Here’s how:

Get featured: Stay active in Skeepers campaigns and keep creating. Future spotlights are always just around the corner.

Share your story: Tag us in your Women’s History Month content so we can amplify your voice and share your stories with the broader Skeepers community.

Keep creating: Whether you’re a seasoned creator or just starting out, your voice matters. Build with intention, show up with authenticity, and remember someone is always watching and resonating, just as Bri said.

Here’s to the women who build, create, inspire, and lead.

Happy Women’s History Month from everyone at Skeepers.
